Pale Rider

“Pale Rider” was the only Western that Clint Eastwood directed or starred in during the Eighties. It is a solid entry in his canon, with great cinematography by Bruce Surtees. Warner’s 4K release is exceptional.

Hit Man

Years before he would direct “Miami Blues,” George Armitage wrote and directed the “Get Carter” adaptation “Hit Man.” Starring Bernie Casey and Pam Grier, it is one of the most enjoyable Blaxploitation films. Warner Archive’s Blu-ray release comes highly recommended!

Black Eye

“Black Eye” is an enjoyable Blaxploitation private detective film that benefits from a strong lead performance by Fred Williamson and workmanlike direction by Jack Arnold. The picture is a little forgettable, but Warner’s Blu-ray looks terrific.
