Alex Gibney’s documentary “In Restless Dreams: The Music of Paul Simon” is a phenomenal look at the life, career, and artistic process of one of the greatest songwriters of our time.
“Dreamin’ Wild” is the type of nice low-key drama about real people that used to be made fairly often. It is elevated by strong performances by Casey Affleck, Walton Goggins, and Beau Bridges.
“American Pop” manages to traverse four generations of history and music in 96 minutes. It’s not perfect, but it is ambitious. Sony has given the film a Blu-ray release.
