Arrow Video has started 2026 out with a bang. “Under Siege,” starring Steven Seagal, has been given a true facelift that will make fans (like myself) want to leap for joy. Andrew Davis’s classic action film has received the royal treatment.
“Eyes Wide Shut” is a misunderstood masterpiece from visionary director Stanley Kubrick. I believe that Criterion Collection’s 4K release will lead to true reappraisal of one of Kubrick’s greatest achievements.
“Detroit Rock City” is probably just a bit too juvenile to appeal to the masses, but fans of the picture will be excited to see that Sony has given their 2015 Blu-ray a re-release.
Despite starring Sylvester Stallone and Sharon Stone at the peak of their powers in 1994 in Miami, “The Specialist” fails to generate any heat. Warner has reissued their 2011 Blu-ray.
Warner Archive’s release of the TV Movie “Last Stand at Saber River” is notable for its strong cast – Tom Selleck, David and Keith Carradine – and its Elmore Leonard source novel.
Despite a solid premise, “Amos & Andrew” doesn’t quite develop into the clever satire it could have been. MGM has given the film a Blu-ray re-release.
With a quarter century in the rear view mirror, “Can’t Hardly Wait” has aged really well as a Nineties take on a John Hughes party film. The Sony 4K is really well done with a new Atmos track.
Legends of the Fall was too heartfelt and emotional for the critics of its time, but audiences responded to the film then and now. Based on the novella by acclaimed author Jim Harrison, Edward Zwick’s film realizes the full potential of the text. Sony’s UHD is gorgeous.
