“The Late Show” is an enjoyable offbeat private detective film from writer-director Robert Benton. The 1977 film has been given a release by Warner Archive.
“Kill Me Again” is the first of three well regarded neo-noir films written and directed by John Dahl. These films were part of the brief neo-noir renaissance of the Eighties and Nineties, and rank as some of the best examples of how to do that genre justice.
Radiance Films has released Pietro Germi’s “The Facts of Murder” as bot ha standalone release or as part of its “World Noir Volume One” box set. The film benefits from excellent black and white cinematography by Leonida Barboni.
