“Moneyball” is considered one of the best sports films ever made. It is also an amazing accomplishment in journalistic adaptation. Sony’s 4K release is solid, but HDR or Atmos would have been appreciated.
Radiance Films has released the 1977 film “A Tale of Sorrow and Sadness” from the great Japanese filmmaker Seijun Suzuki. Fans of the stylish director will definitely want to check it out.
John Sayles’s 1988 film “Eight Men Out” is a fantastic historical drama and wonderful sports film about the Black Sox and the 1919 World Series. The film has a brilliant ensemble cast. MGM has given the film a release on Blu-ray.
