Radiance Films has given the brilliantly realized sun-drenched noir “The Hot Spot” a definitive 4K UHD upgrade. This is easily one of our favorite releases of the year. Dennis Hopper’s critically misunderstood film deserves to be rediscovered.
“Disturbing Behavior” is one of the least convincing teenage horror films from the crop of late Nineties horror that sprung from the success of “Scream.” It is also one of the most entertaining. MVD Rewind has given the film a Blu-ray release.
“The Shawshank Redemption” is one of the best films of all time and is the best prison drama ever made. Warner Bros. has given the film a new 4K UHD release that brings out the very best from Roger Deakins’ cinematography.
