Severin Films continue their celebration of Bruno Mattei’s work with Claudio Fragasso and Rosella Drudi with their release of the hut-exploding Namsploitation epic “Strike Commando” starring Reb Brown.
“G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” has not aged particularly well, but still will appeal to young kids. Paramount has given the film a 4K UHD release in conjunction with the release of “Snake Eyes.”
“Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” is a perfect finale to an exceptional trilogy. Sean Connery is an amazing addition to the cast, and the script by Jeffrey Boam is wonderful. The new 4K UHD by Paramount is exceptional in every regard.
“Wrath of Man” is one of the best films from director Guy Ritchie and features one of Jason Statham’s best performances to date. Warner has given the film a Blu-ray release.
“Mortal Kombat” is an entertaining and uneven film that at times lives up to its promise and at times misses the mark. The 4K UHD from Warner Bros. looks and sounds great.
“Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” is the most underrated film in the series. While it divided critics and audiences, it has stood the test of time. The 4K UHD is a big leap forward.
“Another 48 Hrs.” is an enjoyable follow up to “48 Hrs.” that can’t quite match the original. The Paramount Presents release looks and sound great.
“Drive” is one of the most enjoyable MVD Rewind releases to date. A martial arts filled action film starring Mark Dacascos features some truly incredible choreography.
“Raiders of the Lost Ark” is still the greatest adventure film ever made. The new 4K UHD included in Paramount’s box set is an excellent upgrade and should be owned by all filmlovers. It has never looked better.
